Critics, programmers and curators from around the world nominated Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958) as the greatest film of all time in 2012 in Sight and Sound's worldwide opinion poll (conducted every ten years) – ending the 50-year reign of Citizen Kane. Hitchcock filmed the majority of the picture in the San Francisco Bay Area. Here are some shots of the locations appearing in the film as we found them in July of 2021.
